Aussie Fast Food Macros

Privacy Policy

Effective 14 July 2026

1. Who we are

Aussie Fast Food Macros (aussiefastfoodmacros.com) is an independent website for browsing and comparing nutrition information for Australian fast food chains. You can contact us at hello@aussiefastfoodmacros.com.

2. What we collect

  • Basic technical data collected automatically via standard hosting/server logs (e.g. IP address, browser type, request timestamps).
  • Analytics data via Google Analytics 4 (see section 3).
  • Product interaction events such as searches, guide clicks, compare actions, filter use and item views (see section 3) — these are anonymous usage events, not tied to an identity.
  • The email address and message content of anyone who emails us.

We don't have user accounts, saved personal profiles, or payment details, and we don't deliberately collect sensitive personal information.

3. Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how the site is used — page views and a small set of product events (searches, guide/result clicks, compare actions, filter use, item views). Google may collect and process data such as your device, browser, approximate location, the pages you visit and the actions you take, according to Google's own privacy policy and terms. We don't send GA4 names, emails or other identifying information — only page paths, slugs and small numeric filter values.

If you'd rather not be tracked, you can use your browser's privacy settings, an ad/tracker blocker, or Google's own Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

4. Cookies and local storage

Google Analytics may set cookies or use similar technologies as part of how it measures usage. The site itself uses your browser's local storage to remember items you've added to the compare tray, so it carries across pages — this stays on your device and isn't sent to us.

5. Contact emails

If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you write in the message. We use this to respond to data corrections, feedback, sponsorship/partnership enquiries, or anything else you get in touch about.

6. How we use information

  • To improve the site and fix bugs.
  • To understand which guides, searches and features are actually useful.
  • To respond to enquiries sent to us.
  • To help prevent abuse and security issues.

7. Sharing

We don't sell personal information. We share data with:

  • Google, via Google Analytics.
  • Our hosting/cloud infrastructure providers, who process traffic to run the site.
  • Our email forwarding provider, to receive messages sent to hello@aussiefastfoodmacros.com.

8. Data retention

  • Analytics data is retained according to our Google Analytics settings.
  • Hosting/cloud provider logs are retained by those providers for their own operational and security purposes.
  • Contact emails are retained as long as needed to respond to and manage the enquiry.

9. Nutrition data

This policy covers privacy only, not nutrition accuracy. Every item links back to its official source on the vendor's own site — always check there if you need certainty, since menus and recipes change over time.

10. Contact

Questions about this policy or your data: hello@aussiefastfoodmacros.com.

11. Updates

We may update this policy as the site changes. The effective date above reflects the most recent update.

This is a plain-English summary for a small independent site, not a substitute for legal advice, and it doesn't claim compliance with every international privacy regime.
